Rice Paves A Road To Hell

Feel the Lord's wrath as you walk through Rice's cross garden

Everyone in Prattville, AL seems to have heard of Mr. Rice but for some reason nobody knows exactly where he lives. When you pull up on his humble abode, you wonder how the hell they ever missed crossing his path.

W.C. Rice is a man of strong conviction or perhaps just too much time on his hands. He knows the score with his savior and is not shy about telling people they're going to hell and "hell is hot, hot, hot".

Since 1976 Rice has been turning his Alabama trailer park into a garden of crosses. So many so, that they line both sides of the road. Rice seems to have made more crosses in his lifetime than Jesus did for the Romans.

On the day of my visit in 2000, a Rice disciple was doing the Lord's work by planting even more crosses in the holy garden.

The good word with Rice is that God has given him permission to raise the asking price for his little piece of heaven. In a web posting he described the revelation:

"it was for sale for 5 million but now god jesus and the holly ghost said that should sell it for 25 million to build a bigger cross garden the biggest one in the world if it is sold.we will take down all the old signs when we get the new land.we will build a big big big big museum of signs of crosses in side it.it will be the pertiest cross garden in the whole world."

Update 1/04
