Alabama and South Carolina share similar water towers that look like they must have been separated at birth although built 15 years apart. The peachy pair loom over farms. Alabama's at a height of 120 feet. Looking head on they look a rear end. A protruding spout at their base has given them the nickname "Peachoid."
South Carolina always tries to rival Georgia as being "The Peach State" but in 2001 Georgia will grow 135 million pounds of peaches compared to the 90 million pounds of South Carolina. The news makes Georgians feel all fuzzy inside.
