For Richard Or Po'er

Although not a tourist attraction, Po Richard's Village has all the makings for a quick pull over.

Five ramble shackle dwellings in a row are crammed full of nostalgic memorabilia from the heydays of the highway.

From road signs to restaurant paraphernalia, Po Richard spared no expense with his stock options. A mint Karma Ghia sits along side an old army jeep in the parking lot. A life size Elvis sings amongst piles of gas station signs. Department store mannequins point the way to a pair of coffins! One is already sold. Apparently Richard recently made a killing.

The population of Mascotte is 1,761 minus one.
Standing guard over this grove of garish is a golden cat in a ready to lunge at shoplifters pose. Robert tells me he picked it up at a flea market.

"It used to be at Winter Haven High School. They're the Wildcats."

Just how po is Po Richrad? So po that he had to put his village up for sale.

"I getta lotta lookin'. Not enough buyin'."
