During the summer months, Tommy the Turtle Man hits the road. Parking in abandoned lots along the Florida Gulf Coast, Tom waits for a bite from potential future reptile owners buzzing by on the road before him.

To those willing to shell out some green, Tommy has a whole turtle kit and caboodle ready to go. He is a one-stop pet shop on wheels. Rows of nets hang from his vehicle's ceiling. Bowls of every size sit ready for that single turtle that will go home today. Buckets full of the tiny creatures line the asphalt as they tirelessly scratch at the sides as if to say "pick me!"

Parents touring the Sunshine State usually succumb to incessant children who beg to stop and see the man in the funny florescent van. Later, as their heated cars cross the Ohio line, they are asking themselves what that odor of death is coming from the back seat.
